William Elmer Cooper, 80, of Caruthersville, died November 30, 1992, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. Born November 19, 1912 at Ripley, Tenn., he was the son of Elem and Etta Stone Cooper. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Cottonwood Point Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ann E. Moore Cooper, of Caruthersville; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Wicker of Blytheville and Mrs. Sandra Lucy of Caruthersville; a brother, Monroe Cooper, of Ripley; a sister, Mrs. Annie Walker, of Ripley; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Cooper; and a daugher, Joyce Vaughn.

Services were December 2, at 2 p.m. at H. S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Matt Corkran officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Ann E. Cooper, 53, of Caruthersville, died Nov. 10, 1993 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Born Aug. 6, 1940 in Ripley, Tenn., she was the daughter of Clyde and Pearl Vaughn Moore. She attended school in Ripley. She was the widow of William Elmer Cooper.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Jetton of Cottonwood Point and Sandra Lucy of Caruthersville; her mother, Pearl Glowner of Cottonwood Point; two sisters, Pauline Goforth of Caruthersville and Janice Burnett of Gideon; three brothers, Billy Joe and Marvin Moore and Johnny Jackson, all of Ripley; and seven grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two children, Joyce Ann Vaughn and David Wayne Cooper; and a brother, Bobby Prescott.

Services were Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at H.S. Smih Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Matt Corkran officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Earl Melvin, Clasy Dorris, Kenny Reddin, Michael Crosskno, Mark Hampton, Wayne Ballard and Donnie Hampton.
