Funeral services for Duane Cline Collins, 65, West Plains, were Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins died at 8:10 p.m., Sunday, May 10, 2009, in NHC HealthCare. He was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Grimmett, Mo., to Delmar Cline (Coonie) and Bernadean Byers Collins.
Mr. Collins was a farmer, cattle dealer and served as Howell County Assessor for eight years. He was a member of the Missouri Fox Trotters Association, loved to cook and enjoyed hunting. Mr. Collins loved company and was a great father, grandfather and friend. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by two children, Duanella Roe, husband, Chris and Kip Collins, wife, Jodie, all of West Plains; 13 grandchildren; and one brother, Max Collins, wife, Loretta, of West Plains. His parents and several aunts and uncles precede him in death. [robertsondrago.com]
