Graveside services for Violet Marie Collins, 83, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins passed away at 11:25 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
She was born January 31, 1939 at Kansas City, Kansas, to Fred E. and Ruby Taylor Nute. On January 7, 1954, she was married at Kansas City, Missouri, to Howard D. Collins, who preceded her in death December 12, 2008. Mrs. Collins worked in the mailroom at Caterpillar for thirty-two years. She loved animals and gardening. Although she didn't have children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews and all kids, and she had fostered children. Mrs. Collins was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, one brother, Leroy Nute, and one sister, Mary Alice Nute, preceded her in death.
Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
