Graveside services for Joan E. Collins, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins died at 10:40 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her home.
She was born June 24, 1943, at West Plains, Missouri, to Robert T. Long and Emma Jean Gray Long. Joan attended schools in West Plains and on August 25, 1962, was married at West Plains, to Robert Lee Collins, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 6, 1999. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. Joan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sisters, Ann Cannon, Independence, Missouri and Debbie Long, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Mike Long, wife, Karen, West Plains, Missouri and Ron Long, wife, Bethel, Rogers, Arkansas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, husband, one son, Robert Lee Collins, Jr., one nephew, Jared Long and one brother-in-law, Ken Cannon, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [robertsondrago.com]
