Graveside services for Louise McConnell, 91, Mountain Home, Arkansas and formerly of West Plains, Missouri, were at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. McConnell died 12:40 a.m., Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Hospice of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born July 22, 1920 at West Plains, Missouri to William Ray and Iva Ellen Hopkins Williams. On August 11, 1941, she married Clyde Collins who preceded her in death on October 24, 1975. She later married Glenn McConnell on October 20, 1986, who preceded her in death on November 29, 2011. Louise had worked for several years at Conway-Winter Shoe Factory in Willow Springs, Missouri and later was employed at Marathon Electric in West Plains, Missouri. She enjoyed camping, square dancing and had been a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by two children, Terry Collins, wife, Susan, Elko, Nevada and Donna Goodwin, husband, Elden, Mountain Home, Arkansas; two step-sons, Glenn W. McConnell, wife, Laurabell and Donald McConnell, wife, Joni, both of Milton, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brian,Kelly, Kevin, Rachel and Reuben; and three great-grandchildren, Merran, Dylan and Claire.
Her parents, husbands and one brother, Jack Williams, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic or Hospice of the Ozarks and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
