Funeral Services for Hettie Luhaney Collins 97, West Plains will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson Drago Funeral Home of West Plains with Rev. David Scudder Officiating. Mrs. Collins died at 6:30 p.m.Sunday February 15, 2004 at West Vue Nursing Home. She was born 3 May 1906 at Hebron,the daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Susan Ellen Johnson Collins. On May 1923 she married at Hebron to Earnest Lloyd Collins, who proceeded her in death 5 February 1969. Mrs. Collins owned and operated a store at Siloam Springs and worked at Kilpatricks in Willow Springs. Survivors include 3 children Linda Gooch and husband David, David Collins and wife Veri,all of Willow Springs, Eddie Warren Collins and Wife Velma of LaGuna Nigel, California.five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, three sons Earnest Loyd Collins, JR, Cecil Eugene Collins, Clevie Zay Collins,1 daughter Helen Collins,one grandson,6 Brothers, 2 Sisters. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Gideon Bible Society and left at the funeral home. Robertson Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Drago Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Earnest Loyd Collins, Sr., of Willow Springs, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rose Chapel of Robertson Funeral Home in West Plains with the Rev. Ira Johnson oficiating.
Mr. Collins died Wednesday after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. He was born in Roosevelt, MO June 7, 1901, the son of the late David A. and Susan Collins Collins. He had spent his entire life in Douglas and Howell counties and moved to Willow Springs six years ago when forced to retire because of ill health.
On June 30, 1923 he was married at Roosevelt to Hettie LuHaney. He had been a member of Little Zion Baptist Church for the past 41 years and a long time member of the I00F Lodge at Willow Springs. He had served as Justice of the Peace in Douglas County for 18 years and was with the Missouri Conservation Commission Department of Agriculture for 10 years prior to his retirement. Surviving besides his wife, Hettie of the home are six children, David A. of Willow Springs; Eddie W. Los Alamito, Calif; Cecil E. Globe Ariz; Earnest L. Jr. Houston; Linda Sue Gooch, Willow Springs, Arlin of Twin Bridges; and 11 grandchildren. A son, a daughter and two sisters preceded him in death.
Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Home of West Plains.
