Funeral services for Lue Etta King were held Sunday, December 11, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Rev. Earl Coat officiated.
She was born November 17, 1884, in Pemiscot County and died at her residence, December 9, 1983, at the age of 99.
She leaves four daughters, Lillian Hailey of Rockford, Ill., Thelma Spencer, and Delia Becker, both of Poplar Bluff, and Ollie Hogeland of Dora, Ala.; four sons, Albert King, of Wingo, Ky., Austin Austin of Steele, Parker King of Rockford, and David King of Hector, Ark.; and 44 grandchildren; 115 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Charley T. King, 64, a well known farmer of the Denton community, died early Monday at his home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Baptist Church in Denton and were conducted by Rev. L.C. Glenn of Holcomb, Mo. Burial was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge.

Pallbearers were Newt Green, Newt Denton, George Gifford, Luther Key, Marshall Rhoades and Henry Nunnery.

Mr. King was born November 29, 1872 in Webster County, Kentucky, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. King. He was a member of the General Baptist Church and was one of its most devoted members. The King family has resided in the Denton community for many years.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, Virgil, Albert, Austin, Parker and David King, and four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hailey of Steele, Mrs. Thelma Spencer of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Delsie Baker of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Mrs. Ollie Haglan of Summitt, Ala. Three brothers, T.R. King of Maysfield, Ky., W.H. King of Denton and Noah King of Steele, also survive.
