Billy Gene Barnard, 44, of Steele, died August 19, 1992 at Blytheville. Born April 16, 1948 at Steele, he was the son of Willard and Emma Mae Tims Barnard Hill. He was a Navy veteran and was a truck driver for Swain and Sons of Memphis until his health failed.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Judy Burnett Barnard of Steele; three brothers, Willard Edward Barnard of DeSoto, Carl Barnard of Harrisburg, Ill., and J. B. Barnard of Steele; four sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Self of Crete, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Ann Stanfield, Mrs. Stella Robinson and Mrs. Patricia Shubert, all of Steele; and a stepson, Herbert Burnett, of McGuire Air Force Base, N. J.
Graveside services were August 21, 1992 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, the Rev. Loyd Adams officiating, John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were James Ashcraft, Charles Hoskins, Donnie Thorne, Bill Allison, Ferrell Joe Stewart and Don Barnard.
