Mr. Everett Dodd, 80, of St. Louis, Mo., died Sunday, April 13, 1997 at a nursing home in St. Louis.
Born September 27, 1916 in Yuma, Tenn., he was the son of the late Herbert and Lucy Bell Morgan Dodd.
Mr. Dodd was affiliated with a Baptist Church in St. Louis, had served in the United States Navy, and was a retired railroad worker.
On December 2, 1944, at Osceola, Ark., he was united in marriage with Pauline Smith.
Mr. Dodd leaves his wife, Mrs. Pauline Smith Dodd, of St. Louis; four sons: James Dodd of Bloomsdale, Mo., Jack Dodd of De Soto, Mo., Robert Dodd of Maplewood, Mo., and Dennis Dodd of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters: Mary Leroux of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Gloria Salisbury, of Maplewood; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Dodd were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 1997 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele, Mo. with Rev. Dorothy Abbott officiating.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were David Dodd, Chris Salisbury, Jackie Dodd, Jr., Steven Salisbury, James Dodd, Jr., and Andy Dodd.

Pauline Dodd, 71, died May 1, 1998 at her residence in Farmington, Mo. Born July 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Verdie and Gerthie Douglas Smith.
She was a retired custodian and of Baptist faith. She preceded in death by her husband, Everett Dodd.
Survivors include: four sons, James Dodd of Bloomsdale, Mo.; Jack Dodd of DeSoto, Mo., Robert Dodd and Dennis Dodd both of Maplewood, Mo. two daughters, Mary Leroux of Farmington, Mo. and Gloria Salisbury of Maplewood, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Smith of Caruthersville, Mo. and Bud Smith of Tx.; four sisters, Mary Thompson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Marie Lawson of Cherry Valley, Ar., Jean Gonzalez of Ca. and Annie Kelly of Tn.; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Services were held May 4, 1998 at 10 a.m. at the Bradshaw Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Walker officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo.
