Harrison Pinkney Holly was born May 30, 1911 at Raven Den, Ark., and died January 12, 1964, in Michigan City, Indiana. He was 52 years of age and a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. A Military Graveside Service for Mr. Holly was conducted by personnel from the Blytheville Air Force Base, Blytheville, Ark.
Funeral services were from the First Baptist Church in Steele on Thursday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. James F. McCrary, assisted by Rev. Charles Miller, officiated.
Burial was in the Holly Cemetery, John W. German Mt. Zion Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Holly leaves two daughters, Mary Alice Morehead of Clarksdale, Miss., and Patricia Dillman of Memphis; Two sisters, Mrs. Viola Schrader and Mrs. Helen Maclin of Steele; Four brothers, Miles and Bill of St. Louis and Walter and Robert of Steele.
Honorary pall bearers were H.W. Wells, Roy Barnes, Arthur Thomas and Chester Barnes.
