Mr. Robert "Bud" Buell Holly, 86, of Colorado Springs, Colo. died at his home Monday, December 2, 1996.
Born Monday, October 10, 1910 at Cooter, Mo., he was the son of the late Walter Holly and Hattie (Pierce) Holly.
Of the Baptist faith, Mr. Holly was a farmer.
On August 8, 1933 in Marion, Ark., he was united in marriage with Jewell Pettie, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Holly leaves a sister, Mrs. Bethel Lester of Cooter.
Graveside services for Mr. Holly were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 1996 with Rev. Doug Applegate officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with arrangements by Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, December 11, for Jewel Petty Holly at 2 p.m. at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter. The Rev. Joe Smith officiated.
Born November 9, 1916, at Elbridge, Tn., she died Sunday, December 7, 1975 at the Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Co.
The former Cooter and Steele resident leaves her widower, Buel Holly of Colorado Springs; one brother, Everett Petty, Osceola, Ark.; and two sisters: Fairor Lee of Meadow Vista, Cal. and Ethel Nelson of Mission, Ks.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
