Funeral services for Mixon Earl Johnson, 40, were held Saturday, May 27, 1989, at 4:00 p.m. at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo. Rev. Bill Luttrell officiated. Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo.
Born in Steele on October 27, 1948, he died at the John Cochran Veterans Hospital in St. Louis, on May 26, 1989.
Son of the late Quenton and Frances Johnson, he attended school in Caruthersville.
On April 6, 1967, in Hayti, Mo. he enlisted in the United States Navy. He received his Honorable Discharge in San Francisco on January 25, 1971.
Mr. Johnson leaves an aunt, Miss Geneva Johnson, of Caruthersville.
