Mrs. Grace Johnson, 81, widow of Ernest E. Johnson, died Wednesday in Missouri Baptist Hospital at St. Louis.
A native of Kentucky, she had been a resident of Cooter about 45 years before moving to St Louis seven years ago. She was a Roman Catholic.
She is survived by seven sons, Charley Johnson of Memphis, Ernest M Johnson, Jess R. Johnson and Allen C. Johnson, all of Kirkwood, Mo., Herbert Johnson of Clarkston, Wash., Robert T. Johnson of St. Anne, Mo and Walter M. Johnson of Maryland Heights, Mo.; One daughter, Mrs. Mabel Roberts of Kirkwood; Five brothers, Lonnie Hardesty, Russell Hardesty, F.M. Hardesty and Tony Hardesty, all of Tulsa, and Martin Hardesty of Manchester, Mo.; Five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Greenwell of Manchester, Mrs. Ann Burch of St. Louis, Sister Mary Evelyn Hardesty of Cincinnati, Mrs. Frances Nelson of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Violet Thompson of Stroud, Okla.; Nineteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Frederick B. Zarrilli officiating. Burial will be in Number Eight, Ark. by Cobb Funeral Home.

Ernest E. Johnson, a retired carpenter, died Monday morning, December 21, 1964 at Pemiscot County Hospital in Hayti. He was 79.
Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cooter Methodist Church. Burial was in Number Eight Cemetery under the direction of the Howard Funeral Service.
Born in Blue Grass, Ky., Mr. Johnson had lived near Cooter 50 years. He was a Methodist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Grace E. Johnson; seven sons: Charles J. Johnson, Memphis; Marion Johnson of St. Louis, Herbert Johnson of Clarkton, Wash., Jess Johnson and Allan Johnson, both of Kirkwood, Mo., Robert Johnson of St. Ann, Mo., and Walter Johnson of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel F. Roberts of Chesterfield, Mo.; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
