Funeral services for Mrs. Betty (Jo) Overby Johnson were held Oct. 24, 1978 in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo. with Rev Paul Cannon of Hayti, Mo. officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo.
Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 9, 1929 in Steele, Mo. and died Oct. 21, 1978 in Blytheville, Ark. She was 49 years of age.
Mrs. Johnson was a charter member of The Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti, Mo.
She was the daughter of Vora Mae Alexander who passed away Jan. 21, 1978.
She is survived by her husband Mr. J.T. Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas; two sons Michael Overby of Holland, Ind. and Jackie Overby of Hayti, Mo.; one daughter, Deborah Payne of Hayti and two step-daughters, Barbara Jean Eichhorst of St. Louis, Mo. and Debbie Sumner of Sullivan, Mo.
She leaves ten grandchildren, four uncles, three aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.
Paul(Pall) Bearers were Bill Aaron, Connie Williams, Edward (Doodle) Nail, Charles Nail, Danny Bonds and Charles Emling.
