J.W. Johnson, 63, employee of Johnson Furniture Stores in Blytheville, died Saturday, October 14 in Chickasawba Hospital. He was born in Marston, Mo. and had lived in the Blytheville area since 1931.
Mr. Johnson was a Baptist, a veteran of World War II and a member of the DAV.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Zelma Wagner Johnson; a brother, Hershel Johnson of Blytheville; and three sisters: Mrs. Agnes Lewis of Blytheville, Mrs. Beulah Maltmon of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Beuna Lakes of Downey, Calif.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Russell and the Rev. Leon Brassfield officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Zelma Johnson, 86, of Blytheville, Ark., died Thursday, April 1, 1999 at the Parkview Nursing Center in Blytheville.
Born in Holland, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John Buchanan Wagner and Rosie Belle Liles Wagner.
Zelma was united in marriage to J.W. Johnson who preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.
Mrs. Johnson leaves two brothers: James Wagner of Mesa, Ariz. and Tom Wagner of Edwardsburg, Mich.; One sister, Versie Lovins of Blytheville; and One niece raised in the home, Jane Farrow of Gosnell, Ark.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 5, 1999 at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Jim Owen officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo., with Cobb Funeral Home in charge.
