Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 9, 1971, at 1:30 p.m. for Marshall Hicks, Jr., of Hammond, Indiana. Mr. Hicks was born on June 27, 1951 in Pemiscot County, and died June 5, 1971 in Hammond as a result of a swimming accident.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Fred Albright. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the Original German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hicks leaves his parents, Marshall and Janie Hicks of Hammond, and one brother, Larry Wayne Hicks.
Pall bearers were Harold Davis, Mike Weathers, Perry Whitaker, Ricky McDaniel, Joe Paine, and Russell Battles.
