Mr. Floyd Ray Thompson, 61, of Steele, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home in Steele. Born July 14, 1951 in Hayti, Mo., Mr. Thompson earned his GED and served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. He was a life-long truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Elwood and Hettie Coats Thompson and a granddaughter, Marlie Grace Thompson.
On August 3, 2007, he married Michele Dye in Blytheville.
He leaves his wife, Michele, of the home; a daughter, Sandy, and her husband, Gary Bott; a son, Mark Thompson and his wife, Shaunna, and a son, Sean Hollis and his wife, April, and seven children.
Also left behind are two sisters: Doris Bomar and Martha Hinklin.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. Glyndon Davis officiating.
Pallbearers were David Lancaster, Gary Bott, T.J. Spence, Jackie Lancaster, Scotty Bomar, and Charles Copeland.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
