Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Steele for Emory E. Smith, 62, of Holland, Frisco station agent there for many years, whose death occurred the preceding Tuesday at the Frisco hospital in St. Louis. The service was conducted by the Rev. Marvin Niblack, pastor of the Steele church and burial was in Cooter cemetery.
Mr. Smith is survived by two sons, J.E. and E.E. Smith Jr. of New Orleans and Memphis respectively; three daughters, Misses Marjorie and Bonny Lynn of Memphis and Mrs. Bessie L. Smith of Perryville, Mo.; two brothers, Cyrus and Benjamin F. Smith, both of Brazeau, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie E. Baker, both living at Brownsville, Texas.
