Mr. Paul Roy Jones, 59, son of the late Eugene Preston Jones and Minnie Richardson Jones, died Monday, June 2, 2014 in Blytheville, Ark. He was employed at Hopper's Exxon in Blytheville and was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers: Tom Jones, Glen Woodard, Eugene Jones and Hoyt Jones.
His survivors include his ex-wife, Deborah Jones of Kennett; two step-children: Teresa Carter of Searcy, Ark., and David Whitehorn of Pennsylvania; five sisters: Ann Morgan, Donna Thomas and Susie Jones, all of Steele, Brenda Riley of Monroe, S.C., and Scarlette Richardson of Gosnell; eight step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Patsy Weaver officiating. Visitation was held at 1 p.m. before funeral services. Pallbearers were Keith Morgan, Easter Morgan, Terry Crocker, Ricky Thomas, Teddy Barnes and Seth Thomas.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
