Lee Norflet Jones, Cooter, Mo., farmer, died December 29, 1963 in a Blytheville hospital. Born September 30, 1899 in Gurdon, Ark., Mr. Jones had lived in this community for 35 years.
He was the son of William and Susie Huffman Jones.
Services were at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter at 2:00 p.m., December 31. Rev. Howard King officiated, assisted by Rev. Charles Miller.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, German Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Jake Samford, Archie Edwards, Gus Cooper, Paul Cooper, Charles Barger, and J.W. Neil.
Honorary pallbearers were Velmar Campbell, W.N. Holly, Ben Holly, Rob Rushing, Broadus Presser, Tom Lewis, J.L. Whitfield and Lewis Lester.
He leaves two sons: Lynn Jones of Steele; Jimmie Jones of Blytheville; three daughters: Mrs. Edward Simpson of Louisville; Mrs. James Ray of Steele; Mrs. Don Howell of Armorel, Ark., 12 grandchildren; a brother, Claude Jones of Memphis; three sisters; Mrs. Ruth Allen and Mrs. Lottie Clark of Gurdon and Mrs. Ollie Wingfield of Steele.

Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" Jones, 90, of Steele, died August 11, 1992 at Okolona, Ark. Born March 25, 1902 at Okolona, she was the daughter of James Thomas and Bessie Clark Wingfield. She was a member of Cooter United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Lee Noflet Jones.
She is survived by two sons, L. N. and Jimmy Jones, both of Lettsworth, La.; three daughters, Velma Simpson of Louisville, Norma Jean Ray of Steele and Gertrude Howell of Simmesport, La.; a sister, Pauline Wingfield of Kilgore, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Homer Lee Jones; a daughter, Bobby Nell Jones; two grandsons, five brothers and three sisters.
Services were August 14 at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Tom Zych officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael, Lafe and Mark D. Jones, Timothy A. Howell, Ed Simpson and Ronnie and Jimmy Forbus.
