Mr. Floyd Cooper Jones Jr., age 70, of Holland, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. Mr. Jones was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Holland, Mo., to Cooper and Azalee Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele, Mo., and he served as a board member for We Care Ministries. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Willie B. Jones, of Holland, Mo.; three sons, Rodger Jones, of Forrest City, Russell Jones, of Chickasaw, Ala., Bruce Jones, of Douglasville, Ala.; three daughters, Connie Peters, of Childersburg, Ala., Cathy Snyder, of Anniston, Ala., Annette Turman, of Conway; four brothers, Mervel Jones, James Jones, both of Honersville, Mo., Larry Jones, of Steele, Mo., Phillip Jones, of Brunswick, Ohio; two sisters, Violet Christian, of Overland Park, Kan., Charlotte Bounds, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Jones were held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele, Mo., with Bro. Gary Andrews and Bro. William Witcher officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo., under the direction of John W. German Funeral Home.
