Funeral services were held this afternoon at Deering for Jesse Andrew Jones, who died at a hospital in Mt. Vernon Saturday after a lengthy illness. The services were conducted by the Rev. N.D. DePriest at the home and interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery near Steele.
Mr. Jones, who was 33 years of age, was born at Blytheville, Ark., but had lived at Deering and near Steele for some time. He was an active member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula (Hooker) Jones, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jones, and many other relatives.
